Eye Examinations
Our doctor's thorough eye examinations for the entire family, include a prescription for eyeglasses, along with testing for cataracts, glaucoma, dry eyes and eye disorders. Our optometrist takes the time to listen to her patients to address all of their visual needs and concerns. She also co-manages with our area's distinguished ophthalmologists for your lasik and cataract needs.
Contact Lens Examinations
Our optometrist examines your eyes for contact lenses including soft and rigid gas permeable lenses. She specializes in hard-to-fit and adolescent contact lenses. If you are new to contact lenses, our doctor will teach you how to handle and wear your contact lenses correctly and safely.
Eyewear Consultations
Our licensed opticians provide expert guidance in selecting eyeglasses, ensuring a precise fit and lenses tailored to your prescription and visual needs. They offer personalized advice on frames and lenses, answer your questions, and share the latest eye care information to enhance your vision and quality of life.
Eyewear Adjustments and Repairs
Our licensed opticians expertly fit and adjust your eyewear for optimal vision and comfort along with recommending or making any necessary eyeglass repairs. Dr. Jolie Turkmen, a graduate of the University of Maryland and SUNY College of Optometry, brings over 20 years of experience to West and Stannish. Specializing in adolescent and pediatric optometry, she is known for listening to her patients' needs and delivering tailored prescriptions for glasses and contacts. She looks forward to welcoming both new and returning patients.
Ming Yao
Optician
Ming Yao, a NYS licensed optician, has over 20 years experience in the optical industry. Having worked in various practices in Manhattan and Long Island, Ming specializes in selecting properly fitted eyeglass frames and appropriate lenses for complex prescriptions.
Laura Frezza
Optician
Laura Frezza, a NYS licensed optician and contact lens specialist with over 35 years of experience, is board-certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Co-founder of the Institute of Opticianry & Technology (IO Tech), she blends expertise and innovation to deliver exceptional care.
